i have a skunk or fox digging under my deck and fence, what can i do to detur them from getting under? What can i use to catch them. we have had problems with skunks before, and i trapped them but it was a pain to get rid of them after they were trapped. i would rather find a way to keep them away some how.I have a fox or skunk digging under my deck and fence, what can i do to get rid of them or catch them or detur
You could borrow a humane trap from animal control, typically, they will come out to remove the wild animal. If not, they should be able to direct you to the appropriate person - so give them a call.

Human urine, fox urine (what's in some repellants), the aforementioned dog waste. Any predators scent should scare them off. Once they're gone block off the deck with fencing of some sort. Might want to put chicken wire behind the fencing. Embed into ground 4-6 inches so if they persist they run into fence when they dig.
One way is to use bleach. Sit bowls of it under the deck and along the fence. The order of pure bleach is too much even for a skunk!..:)
Foxes %26amp; skunks are territorial. Go to a park, and pick up some dog sh*t. Put it under your deck. Ferret sh*t works the best---maybe from a pet store.
