neither. you back away as slowly as possible, watching the skunk for agitation. they really aren't as apt to spray as you might think.What do you do if a skunk approaches you?
What i would do is slowly back away. VERY SLOWLY! If you go too fast then the skunk will likly get scared and will spray. But if you stay right there, its also not a good idea because you might have to sneeze or something and that could also cause the skunk to spray.
I'm going to go with walk briskly in the opposite direction.
run away immediately!!! if a skunk sprays its odor on u man oh man youll be smelling for days.

whatever is to be done skunk will do. i will not do anything.
