My cat got sprayed by a skunk, how do you get the smell off of him?

My pet cat is a outdoor cat who comes inside when he pleases. But my family had noticed he had a skunk smell coming off of him. He doesn't like water very much, so it'd be pretty hard to give him a bath. Anyone know ways to get the smell off without water? My cat got sprayed by a skunk, how do you get the smell off of him?
honestly ... please don't laugh ... when I was working as a dog groomer ... we alway alway alway used ... a douche ...

go to the local drugstore ... CVS ... riteaid ... even WalMart and Target have them ... and buy a Summers Eve ... use it as it says to ... make sure none gets in the cat's ears (hold them closed)

good luck and keep kitty away from skunksMy cat got sprayed by a skunk, how do you get the smell off of him?
Wash him in tomato sause. Just like humans do.
bath him in tomtato juice. Let him soak for a few minutes in it, before rinses and using reg. shampoo
What ever you do, dont spary him again, with any perfume or something like that.

try getting him with a few dashes of water, not loads so he is wet, just enough so he has to lick himself dry, and the smell goes.

my cat decided to jump into a compost bin, then i gave him a few dashes of water, then he sat and then laid down in cold water full in a bowl, just his head sticking out, my cat loves water...how strange...
tomato jucie. bath it in it.
Give him a tomato juice bath...
everyone says to bathe him in tomato juice but i read that tomato is dangerous for cats. my cat never got sprayed so i never had to deal with this but it's a caution i'd like to tell you about http://www.felinefuture.com/nutrition/to鈥?/a> maybe you should call a vet and ask them what to do :)

anyways besides that tomato case and a lot of other sites advising against tomatos, here is a site that will help you deal with getting rid of skunky smell. also they warn you about possible rabies from them http://www.pets.ca/pettips/tips-51.htm
