What is the best way to get skunk smell off of my dog?

Ok so my genius dog got herself sprayed by a skunk last night and I need to know how I get get her to smell somewhat tolerable and fast. What is the best way to get skunk smell off of my dog?
Bathe her in tomato juice. What is the best way to get skunk smell off of my dog?
run a small bathtub of warm water

go buy a tube of white tooth paste and some conditioner

now squirt toothpast in hand on a little water form it into paste

now rub it all over the dog and be sure that it makes contact with the skin too, DO NOT GET IN DOGS EYES, no finsh by giving him a bath with conditioner

what this does is the toothpaste removes the oils and the conditioner replaces them

used to live out in the country and my dogs get hit all the time

i have done this method and it has worked everytime
Try using lemon juice, the acid will cut the oily chemical sprayed from the skunk.
I can tell you honestly that tomato juice will not get rid of the smell entirely. In fact, not much will, because the oils from the skunk spray combines with the dogs natural body oils and absorbs into the skin.

Paw Brothers sells a combination system, a de-skunk shampoo and spray. The spray neutralizes the odor, and the shampoo, which you have to use twice, cleans the oil from the dog. Then you spray the dog again. Most dogs get sprayed right in the face, which is especially difficult to get clean. In any event, the Paw Brothers' system works well enough, but won't get rid of the smell completely.

You can try mouthwash, it will sometimes take away some of the odor causing bacteria. But unfortunately, it mostly a waiting game. You can get rid of some of the smell, but very rarely rid the animal of it completely in one shot.
Use Vinegar in a good dog shampoo, wash her twice, and make sure you keep it away from her eyes. If you are worried that it will get in her eyes, get some mineral oil, and put a drop in each eye, this will prevent any irritation.
Lots of tomato soup and soap. Or tomato sauce, paste etc and soap. Scrub really well. Good luck!!
TOMATO JUICE DOES NOT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am a groomer for 17 yrs and I have answered skunking ?'s every day for a month including about an hour ago. Go look up other ?'s as I don't feel like repeating the formula again. Im sure you weren't logged on and just missed it, I don't mean to sound crappy. But trust me here, tomato juice will HELP, but it won't work.
If you have a local Pet-co or Pet-smart nearby , there is a specific product made to bath your dog if this happens. Skunk-off I believe is the name. Try this before the Tomato juice thing. Good luck.
what you need to do is take you dog a tomato juice bath make sure she stays in for about 20 minuets and then take your dog a bath with shampoo for dogs and if your dog has a long coat then use conditioner and make sure your dog stays away from skunks
.yep. tomatoe juice.
