What is the best way to get rid of skunk smell?

My dog was sprayed by a skunk 3 days ago. We used skunk off right after it happened but there is still skunk smell. It's mostly on her head, does anyone have any other suggestions? ThanksWhat is the best way to get rid of skunk smell?
1 cup Hydrogen peroxide

1 cup backing soda

1 teaspoon dawn dish soap

It is important, that you mix it with equal parts if you need more.

put the mixture on the dry dog and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.

proceed with Nilodor shampoo (deodorizing pet shampoo).

Use some eyeshield (eyedrops) to protect your dogs eyes (don't get anything in them) and rinse the eyes softly with cold water at the last rinse. What is the best way to get rid of skunk smell?
Vinegar and tomato juice works the best....
Lots of tomato juice and or lemon juice. Let him sleep outside for a few more nights!
Use this...home remedy, I hear good things about it:

1 quart (or liter) of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide, H2O2.

Use fresh (unopened) hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Hydrogen peroxide eventually turns into water (H2O).

1/4 cup (50 ml.) of Baking Soda

1 teaspoon (5 ml.) of Liquid Soap

1 pair of plastic or latex gloves
you need to use tomato juice and dawn. that works good because my dog got skunked in the face and it took me at least 1 month to get rid of the smell. it will take a while to rid the smell and the smell gets stronger when you wet the dog to bathe him. you need to do this every day for awhile or til the smells starts to go away. good luck i hope you get the smell off her.
Never heard of Skunk Off. Tomato juice is standard treatment. straight from the can. Do not dilute.

THEN, wash thoroughly. Try Sunlight Bar Soap. has worked for my dog
Get rid of the skunk
tomato juice
Tomato juice or butter milk bath does wonders.
They tested this on Mythbusters, and they found the best thing to remove skunk odor was a combination of Hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and liquid dish soap. However, I'm not sure whether it would be a good idea to use it on your dog--you could ask the vet. Traditionally, tomato juice works pretty well.
USE SOME DOUCHE THAT WILL DO THE JOB
i have read tomato juice and i have read milk? go to aspca or something similar like akc and ask?
Go tho the market and buy at least 1/2 of gallon of tomato, the chunkier the better, rebember this tomato has to be plain, no flavors, this just like if you took a bunch of fresh tomatoes and crushed them, the purpose is to give your dog a tomato bath, but what is important the place whera the skunk spreyed him, try to leave with this paste/juice as long as you can, do not worrie if dog may leak it, is not poison....recomend at least 15 minutes, after this give him a nice bath...if you are not happy with this, this means that the smell is more in your brain, and just have to let couple of days go by, and your memory with get weeker as the smell.( ask some else to smell the dog, better if person does not know that was a skunk, so your memory is not kicking inn.)

There is no better thing to do then this, works on everybody, including humans...the fresher the tomatos scent, the stronger the effect...

wish you well...
Poor Doggie! Don't forget to put safety goggles on him so the soapy stuff doesn't get in his eyes - how about baby shampoo instead of Dawn?
they say to scrub them down with tomato sauce...
tomato paste/juice
Ummm...haven't you ever heard the old saying about tomato juice? Well, it's true. Tomato juice will clear it right up.
